Our Origin Story

A Legacy of Hope in Chihuahua, Mexico.

In 1995, a significant door opened for the founders of Lily of the Valley, Ed and Rosa, allowing them to establish a children’s home in Chihuahua, Mexico. It was a dream fulfilled for the couple.

Over the past three decades, their work has been described as a beautiful, exciting, and profoundly worthwhile experience in caring for vulnerable children. They have had the privilege of witnessing a generation of young lives transformed, watching as hearts are healed and futures are rewritten.

A New Chapter

A new chapter for Lily of the Valley began in 2023 when Frank and Sam Agundes assumed the role of directors. The home has celebrated numerous successes, with several children growing up and going on to college. Currently, one teenager is attending a local college, pursuing a degree in graphic design. For young people who entered the home with no expectations for their future, seeing them embrace their education and professional goals has been the greatest thrill.

The founders often speak of the immense satisfaction in watching these young people become full of excitement and gratitude for the help they received in accomplishing their dreams. Although Ed and Rosa are now retired, they continue to live on-site, maintaining a supportive presence and ensuring their legacy of love continues to thrive.
